Medals are awarded based upon the merit of the wine or beer and are awarded on scoring the following points:

Medal Classifications

Class Wine Beer
Gold 18.5 to 20.0 Points 45.0 to 50.0 Points
Silver 17.0 to 18.4 Points 38.0 to 44.9 Points
Bronze 15.5 to 16.9 Points 30.0 to 37.9 Points

 

Judging Criteria - Points are awarded as follows

Colour and Clarity max 3 Points  Aroma max 12 Points
Nose / Bouquet max 7 Points  Appearance max 3 Points
Palate / Flavour max 10 Points  Flavour max 20 Points
Total Maximum 20 Points  Mouth Feelmax 5 Points
   Overall Impression max 10 Points
